Change of Current Hybrid or Remote Status-MHS

Prior to the beginning of the school year, the Merrimack School District placed a moratorium on requests to change a student’s status from remote to hybrid or hybrid to remote. This was done to create class schedules, identify students’ needs and accompanying services, develop attendance rosters and meet the safety measures that were put in place. As a District, we realize that there may be extenuating circumstances in the area of family/student health or individualized student academic need (educational hardship) that may require a change from one option to another. If so, please fill out the form below and submit to your school principal.

Next Steps- You will be contacted by the principal or his/her designee. Each decision is based on an individual basis and the availability of space in each cohort. Once a decision has been reached by the school principal, you will be provided with notification of your request within fourteen (14) days of the school receiving your request. Should the parent be dissatisfied with the school’s decision, he/she may request, in writing, a review of the decision by the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Superintendent or his/her designee will either uphold or reverse the school’s decision and issue a written determination within fourteen (14) days after the appeal is received. Once the Superintendent has rendered a decision, his/her decision is final.

If a student is granted a change in cohort, this decision will be in place for the remainder of the semester or until another appeal has been presented to the Principal.
