Google Classroom: Staying Connected to Your Student's Learning
The Merrimack School District uses Google Classroom as our primary Learning Management System (LMS). This platform is essential for organizing student work, delivering educational materials, and facilitating communication between students and teachers.
What is Guardian Summary Access?
While students use Google Classroom daily to complete assignments and interact with class content, parents and guardians can be invited by teachers to receive Guardian Summaries. This feature is designed to keep you informed about your student’s progress without requiring you to log into the platform itself.
Key Benefits of Guardian Summaries:
Once you accept the email invitation from your student's teacher, you will receive regular email updates that include:
-
Missing Work: Assignments that were not turned in when the summary was generated.
-
Upcoming Work: Assignments due today and tomorrow (for daily summaries) or assignments due in the upcoming week (for weekly summaries).
-
Class Activity: Important announcements, questions, or updates posted by the teacher.
This provides a vital link to ensure you stay on top of homework deadlines and class communication, supporting your student in managing their academic responsibilities.
