Ms. Angi Perron

Welcome to my classroom!

I look forward to another year (my 17th in the distict) teaching and learning with a new and exciting group of students.
One of the reasons I enjoy teaching so much is that although we may have a basic plan for the year, I never know which direction my students will lead our teaching/learning.

Each student is like a gift we get to open every day!

I thank you in advance for trusting us with the nurture and education of your children.

Expanding on students' needs and interests has led to some of the most meaningful learning my team has experienced (see my slide shows for some previous studies and projects).
My staff and I have developed the attitude that if we (the adults in the class) have not also learned something each new year, we're not doing it right!

Preschool is the perfect place to integrate all modes of learning; art, music, science, math, literacy, movement.

I maintain high standards of learning in my classroom through integrated studies that challenge children to question and grow in their understanding of the world.
You will find the most common question in my practice is "What do you notice?"
Making connections with new learning is an educational practice that will serve your children throughout their lives.

MY EDUCATION:

As a life-long learner myself, I thrive on new experiences and opportunities both in and out of school.
My latest endeavor has been to learn to play the ukulele!
Although my motivation was to improve the music education in my class, I have also enjoy performing with The Kukuleles!
