    1/24:  Last Day of Quarter 2

    1/27:  Students start Quarter 3 Unified Arts and switch to either PE or Health.


    1 Basketball News

    Merrimack Middle School will be Hosting the Opening Round of the Tri-County Basketball playoffs today.  Boys Div-I kicks off at 4pm.  Boys Div V will play the afterwards.

    Girl’s Div-I Team has qualified for the playoff and will play at Bedford on Monday 1/27 starting at 4PM.  Congratulations to all teams! 

    Please remember that there is an admission for the TCA Playoffs of $1-Students and Seniors, $2 for Adults and $8 for Family. 


    *If D-I wins today, we will host a second Playoff Game on Wednesday, Jan. 29 starting at 4PM.  All other teams will be on the road for future rounds.*


    1 Geography Bee

    This past December and into January students in grades 7 & 8 participated in the Geography Bee in their Social Studies classes.  One winner emerged from each of the six teams.  On January 15, the six team winners competed against each other to determine the schoolwide winner who will represent Merrimack Middle School in the state competition. Congratulations to the following students who participated in the schoolwide Geography Bee and represented their teams outstandingly.

    8-1: Joel A.

    8-2: Logan J.

    8-3: Lucas A.


    Brady finished in third place. Logan and Lucas went into three rounds of single elimination.  After an impressive championship round, Logan  finished in 2nd place and Lucas took first place.  Great job all participants!  Please congratulate Lucas who will be moving on to the state competition!

    Here are students and staff having fun!





    Art and Science

    Ms. Blain brought her students into Mr. Hill's science classroom and observed/sketched fossils, sea shells, a turtle, fish, plants and pond life. They used their sketches to create Matisse-inspired shapes and compositions.



    Advisory Fun

    Students and teachers had fun playing Pie Face in Ms. Coplin's and Ms. Gamache's advisories.
