• On The Abenaki Trail

In December, teachers from the New Hampshire Historical Society shared a hands-on presentation about Abenaki Native Americans with the third grade. Students learned about the daily activities of a typical Abenaki child, including hunting, fishing, family life, and building shelters. There were many hands-on learning opportunities: grinding corn, manipulating artifacts that the Abenaki left behind in our region, and feeling the pelts of numerous animals. This enrichment event was sponsored by the Gifted and Talented program.
