Mrs. Stubbs

Hello! My name is Susan Stubbs.  I am currently a preschool teacher, for the district, within the Merrimack Early Education Program.  My preschoolers know me as Miss Sue.  This will be my fourth year teaching in the Merrimack Early Education Program and I love it!  I began teaching in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education/Special Education/Human Development.  I am a Registered Behavior Technician and I just recently completed the UNH Graduate Program and now have a Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education with a Certification in Assistive Technology.  I have taught General Special Education for grades Kindergarten to Third and taught Second Grade in Wilton, NH.  I also ran an at-home childcare and worked in the Nashua Head Start Program prior to becoming part of the Merrimack School District family.  The majority of my teaching experience has been in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. My passion, as a young child, has always been to facilitate the learning of young children in all educational domains and to assist with each individual’s growth and development.

There are many fun facts you may want to know about me.  My family consists of my husband, my three fun loving children, my dog Luna, and our newest addition a hamster named Monty.  I love being outdoors and being silly and having fun.  Reading in my hammock is a favorite pastime.  If I could I would visit the mountains and hike along the river every day.  My favorite season is Fall, so I am excited for September.  I love the start of the school year, the leaves changing color, and anything to do with pumpkins, apples, and pies.  This is going to be a great year of new beginnings and new friendships.  I am looking forward to being a part of your child’s educational journey this year!
