What We're Learning

 

What is the largest living organism? Answer: A honey fungus in the Blue Mountains in Oregon measuring 2.4 miles across!!!

 

From the rotting stump, to the damp forest floor, to the food we eat, to the space between our toes, fungus is everywhere. We are learning the structures of the various types of fungus we may encounter to understand this weird and interesting organism. We will also explore how plants and humans use and interact with the fungus.
