It is with great sadness that I report the passing of our colleague, MHS teacher, Victoria Monaghan. Victoria’s loving family was at her side at the time of her passing, and her mother notified MHS Principal Steve Claire of her passing during the weekend. She was only 27 years old. Please keep Victoria and her family in your thoughts and prayers. A go fund me effort has been established to help defray the medical costs and your consideration will be greatly appreciated.
The last couple of years, teaching and working in education has become increasingly complex for all. The Merrimack School District staff are going above and beyond each and every day to serve the students of the district. Sometimes, we are moving so fast that we may not take the time to give the thanks to those that have made a positive impact on a student or staff member. We would like to use this platform to allow staff, parents, students, graduates, and community members of Merrimack, New Hampshire, to share positive words or stories for our staff.
The Merrimack School District Budget Committee announces that it has an open seat until the April 2023 election. The Committee is looking for Merrimack residents who are registered voters and who have an interest in filling this seat for the upcoming budget year.
The Merrimack School District's Offices of Student Services and Student Wellness would like to provide families with continued learning opportunities that strengthen the school to home partnership for all students. We strive to ensure that parent(s) and/or caregiver(s) of exceptional students have a voice and access to resources, with the shared goal of supporting the growth of students. This includes the chance to provide feedback, share concerns, ask questions, attend learning opportunities, and celebrate exciting accomplishments. Please complete this survey to share your voice about resources and programs that would be beneficial to you. Thank you in advance for your input.
Information on applying for free and reduced lunch. Please note: free meals for all students will be ending in June. All meals beginning September 2022 will be charged at the 2022-2023 established rate unless you have an approved free and reduced application on file.
This Special Education Procedures Plan describes the Merrimack School District’s (referred to as District or LEA – Local Education Agency) procedures regarding the provision of a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all children with disabilities. The LEA will annually review this special education procedural plan so that the procedures reflect current federal and state regulations.
