  • A MESSAGE FROM THE MERRIMACK SCHOOL DISTRICT 01/06/17

The Merrimack School Board is finalizing their budgets to present to the voters for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. In an effort to provide more content and context to the voters, the school district's website (www.sau26.org) has a number of resources to provide information and insight to the necessary expenditures to operate the district.

Information available includes an overview of the budget, budget breakouts by facility/department and a presentation showing those maintenance projects looking to be addressed with the budget and/or warrant articles.

In addition, all school board budget discussions can be found online at http://merrimacktv.com/online-video/school-board/ http://merrimacktv.com/online-video/school-board/ and on Merrimack TV Channel 21 for Comcast cable subscribers.

The Merrimack School Board has its next budget hearing scheduled for January 10th at 7pm in the Matthew Thornton Room at Merrimack Town Hall and is anticipating wrapping up their budget at their board meeting on Tuesday, January 17th at 7pm (also in the Matthew Thornton Room at Merrimack Town Hall).

The Merrimack School Board encourages community feedback, whether it be via phone, email, or attendance at meetings and hearings. Their contact information is located on the district webpage. The Board has committed to have more communication and granularity with its budget process and looks forward to hearing from residents.

    Sincerely,

    The Merrimack School District
