This is a full year course in which students will study the structure and functions of the human body systems in-relation to maintaining homeostasis to sustain life. Systems studied include Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscle, Nervous, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Digestive, Excretory and Reproductive. This course at the honors level is designed for student’s planning to major in a medical field (nursing, pharmacology, physical therapy, doctors, dentists, dental hygienists, etc.). This course requires completion of a summer project.
Prerequisite: 1 year of Physical Science and 1 year of Biology with a passing grade and teacher recommendation/approval from Department Head or Anatomy Teacher
