Many four-year colleges will require scores from a college admissions test – either the ACT or the SAT. These scores are one part of the college application process and factor in to admissions decisions; however, they are not as important as your transcript and the grades you earned.

College Board Registration Calendar
(SAT I and SAT II)
All MHS students who are in the 11th grade will be required to take SAT at no cost to them or their family.
The College Board SAT is currently being implemented as the NH statewide assessment for public school juniors.
The SAT is offered through the year, students can take it at any neighboring school.

Students with IEP or 504 who would like to request accommodationson the SAT need to see their counselor or case manager to begin the approval process (it a long process so the earlier the better!)
Families who meet financial eligibility requirements can receive a fee waiver for the SAT. See your counselor if paying for the test is a hardship – all requests are confidential.

Advanced Placement Program Examinations
These tests will be given at Merrimack High School in May. See Ms. Mandra for details
A student may petition a Department Head for approval to take an Advanced Placement (AP) course without meeting the prerequisites listed in the Program of Studies.
