This course attempts to stress those essential math skills needed to make responsible and effective everyday financial decisions. A strong emphasis is placed on using a calculator as a problem-solving tool. Some of the topics to be studied include money management, banking services, long and short term financing, consumer awareness in purchasing goods and services, living expenses, recreational expenses, home improvements and investing.
