CLASSICAL LANGUAGES (GREEK AND LATIN) FOR PROFESSIONALS
Course # 32356
Available to Grades 11-12
Classical Languages (Greek and Latin) for Professionals is a vocab-and-etymology class. It focuses specifically on the Ancient Greek and Latin vocabulary and roots, cultural material, and grammar relevant to the following subjects: Medicine, Biology, Geology, Physics, and Law. Class assessments test the ability of students to apply their knowledge of Latin roots and etymological principles in order to decipher sophisticated scientific and legal texts. This course is intended for students explicitly interested in applying what they will have learned about Greek and Latin to future employment in science, medicine, or law and does not qualify students to take Latin 2.
