If medication is required during the school day, all required parental permission forms and Physician Order forms must be completed as per the Merrimack School District Policy on Administering Medication.
Medication should be administered at home as often as possible (i.e. if ordered three times a day, it should be given in the a.m., after school, and at night unless specified by the physician).
The first dose of any medication should be administered by the parent/guardian.
Medication must be in the original container and/or prescription bottle.
Students may not carry medicine to and from school.
Cough drops are discouraged for elementary children.
