IS IT CATCHY? - MONITORING AND PREVENTING CONTAGIOUS ILLNESSES

  • COMMUNICABLE DISEASE MANAGEMENT

Specific monitoring and management procedures are maintained  throughout the year for control of contagious diseases.

    1.   If your child is absent due to illness, notify the school.
    2.   Inform the nurse if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness.

    3.      Informing the nurse of a communicable illness allows her to alert students and staff who are "at risk" for certain conditions.  These students and/or staff may need to notify their medical providers for guidance, monitoring or prophylactic treatment

According to state public health mandates and school district policies, restrictions and/or re-entry requirements may apply in the event of a contagious illness. These are for the safety and well-being of your child and for all members of our community.
